ABOUT
The Colorado Youth Hockey Foundation (CYHF) was formed in November
2004 as a 501-C3 non-profit corporation with the mission to provide
financial support to children up to 18 years and their families
who cannot afford the often substantial costs associated with playing
youth ice hockey.
Instruction that is given, athletic skills developed, accountability
expected, and comradery fostered within the context of team hockey
play can provide benefits well beyond the scope of athletics and
well into the future. These benefits can be made accessible to youth
and their families who cannot afford to pay the rising costs of
ice fees, equipment, and travel through a variety of CYHF programs
ranging from a General Purpose Fund used to assist children
at any level of play, to a AAA Fund that provides assistance
to elite players who require financial assistance in order to play
at a AAA level.
CYHF also offers guidance to youth and their families as they go
through the evaluation of educational prospects, and can open doors
to such institutions with contacts through the Foundation's Board
of Directors.
We believe that by keeping "A Kid on Ice"
and out of "Hot Water" we can
help youth explore athletic potential and provide a fundamental
system of values through athletics that will offer benefits lasting
long into the future. Please contact
us for more information concerning The Colorado Youth Hockey
Foundation, to nominate a person for support, to indicate your interest
to be a financial contributor to CYHF funding programs, or to apply
for funding in one of our programs.
