Mike assists in the recruiting aspect of the men's hockey program as well as working exclusively with the Gustie defensemen. A 2001 graduate of Gustavus, Mike also serves as an assistant football coach for the Gusties. After graduating from Gustavus, Mike attended South Dakota State University, where he completed his M.S. degree in Athletic Administration.

Mike Deschneau returns for his third year as an assistant coach for the Gusties.  Originally from Arden Hills, MN, Deschneau is a 2001 graduate of Gustavus where he was a member of both the hockey and football teams.  After graduating from Gustavus, Mike attended South Dakota State University and obtained a master’s degree in athletic administration.
