In 1999 Mike Gempeler, Founder of CamperReg Technologies, was running a highly successful hockey camp company conducting camps across the United States. Things were busy and mail-in registrations were stacking up on his desk, but ironically he had little or no time to process them due to the increasing demands of planning for and directing his camps. Then it hit him, why not eliminate the paperwork and maximize the growing popularity of the internet by providing online registration for customers?

As a result, Gempeler developed a proprietary system for online registration and payment processing. Soon his colleagues in the camp industry caught wind and they too were interested in a system that would streamline their workload and allow customers to register online. From here things evolved quickly, leading Gempeler to develop a comprehensive and integrated system that would provide unparrelled features for the ever expanding camp industry. CamperReg was born and has been growing successfully ever since.

"As former owner and director of Rocky Mountain Hockey Schools, I understand the day-to-day challenges of directing, managing, and of course coaching summer camps," says Gempeler.
