Camp Features
This high intensity camp includes 21 hours
of on-ice, 15 hours of off-ice training, and 15 hours of outdoor
educational activities each week. The off-ice sessions will focus
on plyometrics, conditioning, resistance training, overspeed training,
free weights, weight belts, shooting stations, and plyometric ladders.
In addition to the daily off-ice training, the RMAHC will feature
daily hockey chalk talk sessions with each group focusing on Jr.
A, College, & professional hockey, recruiting and exposure
opportunities, the importance of grades, nutrition & healthy
eating habits, and successful systems and tactics currently being
utilized by collegiate and professional teams.
The RMAHC will offer a residential component to the camp for all out of town
players, and locals who wish to experience an overnight camp (see below for more
details on camper housing solutions). All Outdoor Education classes will be instructed
by trained outdoor professionals from positions within Mountain Rescue, and Alpine
Rescue, and professional kayaking, rock climbing and mountain biking instructors.
