New Mexico Amateur Hockey Association hires
RMHS to run statewide skill development clinic
Fall 2006 – The land of Enchantment Youth Hockey Association
hires RMHS for the second season in a row to run the statewide skill
development clinic for the entire USA hockey registered community
of youth hockey players. This clinic is run in a different location
throughout New Mexico every season providing all NM players and families
an equal opportunity to experience this program from year to year.
RMHS has built and been awarded this contract in New Mexico as they
have become the skill development specialist for several of the hockey
communities. Currently RMHS conducts winter and fall clinics for
the Taos Youth Hockey, Los Alamos Youth Hockey, and Santa Fe Youth
Hockey Associations. The different youth hockey associations hire
RMHS to run all their members through individual skill based powerskating
and stickhandling progressions. At the upper levels RMHS will add
some theories of hockey progressions such as breakouts, power-plays,
penalty-kill, and other tactical hockey situations.
“I have been the youth hockey President for over 12 years
and was one of the original board members that brought RMHS in to
run our annual skill development clinics in January. The one thing
that really impresses me about RMHS is the depth of their staff and
the ability to work with all ages and levels. RMHS is dedicated to
the game of hockey and we can not wipe the smiles of our players’ faces
after the RMHS clinic. The RMHS staff really knows how to make the
game of hockey FUN!” – Charlie Raskovics, Taos Youth
Hockey President
