ROCKY MOUNTAIN HOCKEY SCHOOLS
The Skill Development
Specialists
RMHS has developed the best summer camp daily schedule possible,
with the optimal combination of on-ice instruction and off-ice
dryland training, providing a well-balanced and effective skill
development training program. We believe it is important to maximize
the amount of time spent on-ice each day, while continuing to condition
the body off-ice at pre-determined intervals.
RMHS Daily schedule includes:
MINIMUM 3
hours total on-ice instruction per day, guaranteed
MINIMUM 15
hours total on-ice instruction per week, guaranteed
Two SEPERATE 90-minute
on-ice sessions
Daily 60-minute
dryland training sessions
Daily 30-minute
hockey chalk talk sessions
Daily stretching
& conditioning sessions
With the optimal on-ice instructional and off-ice developmental model
firmly in mind, RMHS has created a proficient daily schedule providing
optimal performance
& development in each of our students. We understand that without
proper rest, hydration, and stretching, even the most detailed and
well-executed practice plans will not be effective. This is why
our daily schedule incorporates the necessary ice time, proper rest
periods between sessions, nutrition and hydration breaks, and stretching
sessions.
"As Vice President
of New Mexico's USA Hockey Affiliate, I hired RMHS to
run a state-wide Power-Skating Clinic for all players
in New Mexico under our USA Hockey Block Grant. I was very impressed
by not only the quality of the RMHS instructors but
their innate ability to communicate and teach our young skaters
as well. The RMHS staff were very clear
and age-appropriate in both their expectations and their communication and
drills were not completed until the coaching staff was satisfied
that the players had really done the drills to the best of
their ability. The quality of instruction was better than anything
I have ever seen at camps across the US or Canada.
In addition, the tempo and overall
expectations increased from age level to age level and each player
received a lot of individual attention. The coaching staff
was upbeat, positive and energetic, even at 11:00 pm on Saturday
night after a long day! The local coaches and the players
had a lot of fun and everyone left very tired."
